Our main aim this holiday was to have a good look around and over the week we did just that, exploring the island top to bottom. Watching Nick and Lins on YouTube certainly helped with this. Fuste La Concha near El Cotillo quickly became our favourite in the north. The beach had the normal mix of people, young/old, fat/ thin, clothed/naked and every one appeared very chilled even with "professional" photographers doing a photo shoot on the beach on our first visit. On the south of the Island Playa de Sotavento de Jandía became our second "goto" with its miles of naked sand and naked walking. Going to leave 2024 right there as it was that bad we are off to give it another try next week :-) Happy travels.
We arrived in the early evening and we were probably out of the airport within one hour, which included doing the paperwork for the car. The apartments were only about 10 minutes away from the airport with a handy shopping are between the two with Mercadona, Lidl and even a small Ikea if you felt the need. The apartment took a bit of finding but it a was clean and had everything you needed, Again the review sites were giving it a 1 or 5 star, but for what we were paying it was a good 4.5 out of 5. Although the complex was textile you could happy sit outside with very minimal clothing without any problems as you would expect in Spain.
Our first naturist holiday since Covid was also our first visit to Fuerteventura, we had settled on the Canaries as the destination but Fuerteventura came out best for accessible beaches as we didn't fancy the climbs that were on offer on some of the other islands.
We booked with Lovehoidays an Irish based web site that gets mixed reviews but had recommended to us. We were staying at a textile holiday apartment complex near Castillo Caleta de Fuste which being about half way down the island made all of the beaches within a fairly easy drive. |
